Youth Development Program
Cornerstone Association, Inc. works with youth, ages 14-18, with the assistance of other volunteers such as corporate executives, faith-based, and community service organizations to promote an understanding and appreciation for business ownership.
This training program is designed to interest and prepare Middle and High School Youth for the challenges and rewards of entrepreneurship.
This interactive program is provided to at-risk youth in low-income communities throughout Clayton County. It serves to stimulate the interest of young people in the process of creating and owning their own businesses. They also gain practical experience from starting and running an actual business as a part of the program.
Collaborations with leaders of community-based groups and corporate professionals match students with adults to provide additional coaching, counseling, and technical assistance to individual participants.
This program teaches:
• Business creation and expansion
• Financial literacy training
• Civic and neighborhood responsibilities
